Changing amazon instance type releases elastic-ip

Using Amazon AWS a lot lately and ran into this twice. If you wish to change the instance type of aan Amazon instance you first need to stop the instance. You can then change the instance type as long as it has the same architecture. 32bit has to stay 32bit and the same applies  for 64bit.

When you then start your changed instance don't forget to re-associate its elastic ip if it had one.
